Finlay's godfather

Neither of Finlay's parents are especially religious - we take the term "godparent" to mean the people we would wish our child to be entrusted to in the event he needed them.

Finlay's godfather is a man we have known mutually for well over a decade. He's stylish and reponsible, absolutely a "provider" and someone we dearly trust. He's extremely intelligent, has exceptional integrity, is a very close friend, and we chose him for this role in the sense that no matter what happens to us, we want Finlay to look up to him as a positive role model and a person who his parents have an enormous amount of respect for and cherish very much.

Dean, thanks so much for agreeing to play a role in his life. We look forward to introducing you to him at the next possible opportunity, which will hopefully involve an expensive dinner on us.

The grandparents descend!

Here is a recent photo of Finlay's grandfather visiting from Rottenburg am Neckar - as is shown, Finlay fell asleep immediately in "Jupp"'s arms.

One of Finlay's grandmothers has just arrived from Canada and was delighted to meet him. More photos to come!

Finlay meets an American... and (W)right here...

These two photos are from this weekend. Big American Andrew came to visit and looked askance at the small child who was displayed on the kitchen table, and Finlay got to wear his (W)right here (W)right now shirt for the first time.

The shirt has some sort of a symbolic meaning, which is connected to this song:

I think the song is referring to documents being sent, German texts being proofread and all of the stress that Canadian lawyers cause...

Thank you Katrin and Aileen from Christine, Finlay and Christopher!

A most fashionable Finlay...

Finlay on the couch in a most understated shirt. Critics agree that this shirt would be entirely appropriate in stylish modern apartments. Perhaps the ones profiled here: www.neuid.com

This post is a lead-in to a post about Finlay's godfather.
